So, I wrote about applying for an MCO Visa Debit Card, powered by crypto.com previously, and yesterday, I received the card in my mail! I have to say they are more efficient than some of the banks I’ve applied cards to!
The card comes in a really simple yet classy packaging, and since this was my first metal card, I was quite surprised by the weight of it. It’s got a nice solid touch to it. Definitely adds weight to my wallet, but since it holds crypto, which I believe to be the future of money, it should weigh more than fiat, right? 🙂
I wasted no time activating the card, and topping it up with 2LTC. The thing about it though, is you still have to transfer the crypto into SGD, before loading it up onto the card for use.
I’ll likely not use it too much, as my first use case was to have it rebate my Spotify payments, but we’ll see how it goes. But I was still curious to test it out in real world purchases. Given that it’s a VISA card, I’m confident there won’t be any issues.
So, I took it out for a spin, and it worked as advertised!
Anyway, this is just a short post to show the MCO card in action. I’ve also successfully managed to update my Spotify payment to direct it to the card… and looking forward to getting my free Spotify from the next month!
Wow, I’d heard of metal cards before, but have never actually seen one in action. How cool. This one also looks really nice. I’m not sure if there are crypto cards in Canada, but I’d be tempted to get one just to have a metal card!
I know the MCO is available in the US, but not sure if it’s open to Canada. But you should definitely check it out!
