So we’re into the start of Q2, and I can happily do a wrap of Q1 CFD trading side hustle results.
March came in a little lower than expected, but still very much positive. I made 6 trades for a total of S$1,885.89. The reason it was lower both in terms of dollar value and number of trades, was I had a couple trades underwater at the time, which I still have open, and I believe will turn a profit in April, so I’m holding on to those, and that created some liquidity issues.
So I closed out Q1 of 2019 for a total of S$7,368.97 profit on CFD trading. I’d originally set a target of $12,000 for the entire year, and am currently pacing at 61% of that goal. If the trend continues (I hope it can accelerate), I may have to rethink and apply a stretch goal before the end of Q2, which is great!
Obviously tech is the recurring theme here because it is what I know. Four of my six trades were Facebook, with Square and EA rounding out the month.
April is the start of Q2, which means a lot of companies will be starting to report on Q1 earnings, which means added volatility. That can create a lot of opportunities if I can catch them right.
Let’s see what April brings.
