I didn’t do much in June to generate any side income, and still ended up having some income streaming in. This is the power of truly passive incomes. I didn’t end up doing any trades, because I was busy working on a new project/product that I’m aiming to unveil in July. I did get a small writing gig that paid $75, and 2 affiliate product income.
Therein lies the power of compounding multiple streams of small but 100% passive income streams, that over time can snowball into something meaningful.
Through my post about the MCO VISA card, I got 2 signups in June, yielding me $USD50 each.
Total sidehustle income for the month came up to S$214.
Sorry for this super short update, but I just wanted to be consistent in posting the income reports, and also as a reminder to toil away at testing and creating multiple income streams, no matter how small they initially may seem.
Afterall, I practically did NOTHING in the month to earn that USD$100, and that feels good.
Jobs Jobs Jobs
On the personal front, I’m still working on a couple of interviews with a few different companies. It’s a really tough situation to be in, and I say this across all aspects, from the jobseeker to the employer who’s hiring in an extremely uncertain environment.
Nobody would want to be hiring and then potentially firing in the next month, in light of changing economic factors. So yes, while some industries and sectors may not be as affected, or even be booming due to these unique circumstances, I think this year has taught people to be cautious, more than ever.
New Project
An idea struck me while I was in the throes of unemployment, and over the last couple of weeks, have been hard at work, trying to put out an MVP of a product out to test.
I don’t want to reveal too much, but I think this project has potential. Looking to set this up as a solopreneur effort, and scale up if and when it makes sense.
Speaking of solopreneurs, I feel that the covid situation has changed a lot of prior views on the workplace, and will accelerate the growth of solopreneur ventures as people made redundant try to strike out on their own, and as companies rightsize their organisations for good. Even as a go back to pre-covid times, employment and the future of offices will never be the same again.
Anyway, stay tuned for the new project!
