Does blogging help me? From a financial point of view, not yet… but from a personal enrichment and fulfilment point of view, very much so. Blogging platforms are also getting easier and easier for the layperson to dive into.
It’s really easy to get into the blogging world. As long as you have a laptop, some wifi, and a point of view on a few things, you’re more than ready to start blogging.
So, to make things really easy and simple, I’ve come up with a 5-part series, suggested to be consumed across 5 different days (doesn’t have to be consecutively), and after the 5 days, you should be adequately, no, you should be fully prepped for your own blog.
So, what will the 5 posts entail? (See this as an introductory, post 0 precursor)
Be a Blogger in 5 Days (BAB5)
BAB5 – Day 1
Day 1 will be mostly a day of introspection. A day to fully immerse in yourself and ask yourself why you want to blog.
Think about your niche, or area of specialty, is it going to be predominantly about parenting, traveling, investing, recipe exploration etc.
You’ll also want to start thinking about breaking down your niche into several sub categories for more content ideas.
BAB5 – Day 2
Day 2 will take us through several considerations on the domain, especially thinking about staking your social media accounts alongside securing the domain of your choice.
We’ll also think about some best practices when it comes to choosing your domain names.
BAB5 – Day 3
Today, we finally actually get to do stuff!
Yeap, we’ll go through the act of actually purchasing your domain! It’s the first concrete step toward becoming a blogger!
BAB5 – Day 4
Day 4 paves the way for you to become a legit blogger. Today, we log into your domain and spruce up your wordpress, including selecting a theme, and adding optional but awesome tools such as Google Analytics to help you track your traffic.
BAB5 – Day 5
Day 5 is the day you write and publish your first post, thereby officially declaring yourself… a blogger!
Excited? Stay tuned for the individual parts coming soon!
Also, sound off in the comments if you have any specific asks!
