If you’re planning a family trip with children to Phuket, you’ve come to the right blog. We recently came back from a 5D4N trip to Phuket, and here, we share our chill itinerary.
Our itinerary is filled with sand, sea and fun. But before we dive in proper, here are some tips.
Packing Tips before you begin your Phuket Adventure
If you’re heading to Phuket, it’s likely you love beach and sea activities. As such, you definitely need to pack lots sun screen, sunglasses, multiple swimwear (so you don’t get stuck with wet, uncomfy swimwear over multiple days.
Most importantly, prepare lots of mosquito repellant. We did, and yet we still got ravaged by the mosquitos.

Day 1: Fly into Phuket, chill and explore the hotel
We like to take things easy while on vacation, and so, typically, on travel days, we tend to just chill and explore the hotel premises.
The Stay: Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach.

The resort is a quick 12 minute drive from the airport, so that was really convenient. The service is excellent, the crowd is predominantly caucasian and a family friendly bunch, with no rowdy characters.
Our room was a 2-twin bedroom with pool access, which you can spy right outside our window. After checking in, we settled in our room, unpacked our stuff, and took a walk down the beach.
There were also complimentary drinks between 5.30pm and 6pm at Mama Kitchen, so we went for that as well, while the boys roasted some marshmallows. The rest of the evening was a dinner at Big Fish, one of the resort restaurants, and then an early night.

Day 2: Full day boating and snorkeling
Day 2 was going to be a full day out in the water. We booked a full day Catamaran Racha and Coral Island Tour from Klook.
The booking was a breeze, correspondence via WhatsApp was quick and easy. Unfortunately, the boat ride was rather rough, and there were quite a number of vomiters, my younger son included. The rough waters put a bit of dent in our mood.. but at the end of the day, everyone went into the water for snorkeling and it was a first experience for the boys, and so I was glad they mustered the courage to do it, despite feeling seasick.
We did the banana boat at Coral Island, and then snorkeling at Racha Island.
The package came with breakfast and lunch. We even opted for the premium package, where our boat had a slide leading straight into the water! Unfortunately, we felt too sick to ride the slide.
All in, it was a good experience, though in hindsight, we may have just taken the half day package instead, and just gone straight for the snorkel.
Day 3: Bird Park, GoKart, Aqua Circus
Today, we went to the bird park. Honestly, not the best bird park at all. A lot of the birds were caged up in tiny enclosures and did not have the proper environment to thrive.

Next up, we did some go-kart at Formula Fun Karting, which was a pretty fun experience. Oli won!

We then came across this next itinerary item completely by accident. We were deciding if we should go to the night market to explore, but it was rather far by taxi, and so we were browsing possible activities, and came across this Phuket Aqua Circus.
Seems like this is a Russian production. We decided to give it a go. I have to say, the production value was extremely good! The show is also new. I believe it only started in May 2025, so if you’re ever in Phuket, give them a watch! You’ll see some footage of them in action below in my highlight reel.

Day 4: Splash Jungle Water Park
We spent this day at the Splash Jungle Water Park. Mostly chilling around the lazy river. For dinner, we strolled around Nai Yang beach and settled on a beach front seafood restaurant, which had a mix of thai and western food, perfect for kids who only eat spaghetti, while the adults can indulge in Thai green curry.
Day 5: Travel back to Singapore
Our flight back to Singapore was at 1140am, and so after a last spot of breakfast, it was time to say goodbye and hop on a Grab back to the airport.
And that concludes our Phuket Holiday.
